Don’t hesitate if you are debating buying this set. Just do it. You’ll be glad you did. I’ve purchased two other Christmas dinnerware sets this month (Pfaltzgraff, Brylane Home) and these Mikasa Holiday dishes are by far the highest quality and precision art work out of the three sets. Very satisfied!It is as beautiful as it's is in the pictures. It was well protected and got to me safely.The LOOK of these dishes are phenomenal! The quality, not so much. I cannot express how frustrating it is to buy dishes online only to have them arrive with subpar quality. On some of the dishes,the gold rimming is coming off, or was never actually applied properly. There are bumps and specks glazed into the plates, and the border on the mugs is crooked. If I didnt absolutely love the modern and simple beauty of the design, I would have given up and returned them all. Forget contacting the company. It takes way too much time to try to get replacements, and usually there is a limit to what they will replace. Many times they will just tell you to return and reorder. I'm hoping to piece enough fairly good dishes to make a set of 12. Most of my shopping is done online, so disappointment with quality has become commonplace these days. For these dishes, I will stick it out until I have a complete set, but Heaven help the family member who breaks a dish. Replacements I'm sure will be a nightmare.A lovely pattern and very pretty. Entweder Farbflecke, die nicht abwischbar sind, Kratzer oder Porzellanklümpchen unter der Glasur. Ich bin der Meinung, dass mir da eindeutig 2. Wahl geliefert wurde. Am enttäuschendsten finde ich das Dekor, welches wie ein aufgeklebtes Abziehbild ÜBER der Glasur aussieht und sich auch so anfühlt. Da das Dekor über der Glasur ist, ist die Oberfläche nicht glatt. Alles in allem, m.E. ein einfaches Alltagsgeschirr, nicht für die Festtage geeignet. Ich bin sehr enttäuscht, da es auf den Fotos viel hochwertiger aussah. Es ist überhaupt nicht mit der Qualität von anderem Mikasa Geschirr (z.B. Cadence) vergleichbar.
