This is a great piece of furniture. I wanted a coffee table that I could do diamond art on while watching tv, then hide it all in the table when I was done. This was perfect. I put it together by myself. The directions were ok, not great. I did have one side put together and had to reverse the legs, but that was an easy fix and it was probably my fault. Very difficult screwing the hinges in, but I put a box in side and rested the lid on the box, only having to hold it in place to get the screws in. Difficult to do individually, but not impossible.I give it a 4 and not a 5 because although it's pretty nice, I am not blown away but I like it. It was cheap and the "wood grain" does look a little cheap but it is pretty heavy and seems sturdy. Instructions could have been a bit more detailed but weren't too horrible. We took our time and finished assembly in about 2 hours with the use of screwdriver AND drill. Most annoying part was securing the lift top but I am very pleased with the lift function. It smoothly glides open and safely glides close. Overall a nice table for a nice price on a budget.The bottom part of the table was east to install. When it came to installing the top and the hinges, I couldn’t have used help. I managed by my self, but it was hard.Superbowl = sick time. Movie night= Snack time. Binge watching Hulu = Snack time. This is the perfect table, brings snacks to you, less on the floor for my already abundantly fluffy cat.I was looking for a nice pull up table that would match my living room set . This table is on the smaller side compared to other pull up tables but I love it. It was a great addition to my living room. I was able to put it together for the most part by myself just the pull up table was a little confusing and my husband assisted me with it. The wood is on the thinner side. One of the outer portions was scratched peeled a small portion close to a nickel size. Love the storage compartments. I would buy again.The lock bolts didn’t go flush so some still stick out. Also it’s not perfectly square and you can see some of the unfinished areas. Otherwise I love it. Very sturdy and looks nice works great.I've always wanted a lift top coffee table. This one is beautiful. It was really easy to put together. The only problem I had was some slight chipping of the panel when putting screws in. It does scuff easier than anticipated too. My keys left some slight scratches.Overall, would not buy again at this price. Had I seen it in person I would not have purchased it unless it was something like $80 USD. My expectations were not that high,m but the purchase managed to come short anyway.PROSOnce assembled, it is actually pretty sturdy.Looks okay from a distance.Lift top functions well.CONSMachining of holes is not accurate enough to assure seamless assembly. Some holes for the cam locks were not deep enough for proper engagement, or the hole for the adjoining peg did not properly line up. This makes it hit or miss about getting the thing assembled with precision results. With work, it turned out okay, but I had to do extra work to make it that way and even then it is not perfect.The hardware could not be any cheaper in terms of quality. Seriously, very poor. The cam locks are flimsy at best and distort easily,. Some were malformed right out of the box. Cast cam locks would have been better.The boards are about as thin as you can get. The top is so thin that it deflects easily. There are pads on four corners to keep the top from slamming against wood when closing. This is a good thing. However, the top flexes easily in this position. Needs more felt in the middle to support it, or a heavier grade of panel.There are peel off black circles om a sheet, basically paper, that are used to cover the cam locks. I was shipped four of them. There should have been eight per instructions, so I was short shipped. Even with eight,.which I do not have, there would still be a lot of exposed ugly cam locks. Please ship enough of these to cover every cam lock.I am concerned the finish will not stand up. There were a few places where the finish had already started to chip off, and it was clear it was a manufacturing defect from a bubble or something stuck in the coating.The package arrived very beat up and torn. Hard to say what portion of the supply chain is responsible. Despite that the contents seemed okay.Would not recommend at this price. I do intend to ask the seller to send some of the paper cover things for the cam locks unless I just fab something.I adore this coffee table and have no regrets making the decision to buy it. I have a star off for building it as I made it by myself and I know it’s best to have two people do it. But it was definitely a project to build it. I gave myself enough time to build it and felt a huge sense of accomplishment when done.The size is good, and it’s very durable and sturdy. The lift table is perfect and I love that I can hide a bunch of stuff inside the table. All in all, I love this table. I feel like it’ll last for a long time.Due to pandemic I thought I would place this coffee table where one of my high schooler's could change scene while virtual learning. My husband put it together and said the instructions were not that clear and he felt it was a bit flimsy. He is handy enough that he could drill deeper holes etc..We love the idea of the top coming up. We will see how long it lasts...we do want it to lastThis product is a piece of junk. The holes were predrilled off centre, they sent two ends the same so the spring mechanism for the top wouldn’t line up with the holes. Someone spilled some sort of white material on several of the pieces. It’s not worth $8 material too thin for that type of tableIf this lasts a year, I'll be amazed. The biggest issue is the holes that the screw-head locks fit in are not drilled properly, so they don't tighten straight. Secondly, they panels are poor quality pressboard. Ikea is way better quality than this table. The whole thing is very poor quality.product arrived quicker than expected and was a good value for the money
